Why SNIS Makes Learning Meaningful, Creative, and Fun for Every Student

Play gives children a chance to practice what they learn.” I learn various things at school and it is more exciting since we have activity – based learning which helps us understand the concepts in PYP. Activity based learning is prevalent not only in academics but also in co-curricular subjects like Music, Dance, and Visual Arts. We inquire a lot and we also integrate subjects. For example, if our inquiry is about history, we integrate Visual Arts and make pottery, sculptures related to the culture. Likewise, in Music we learn music from different cultures and we compose our own songs. It is a lot of fun to work with peers and compose music. We use critical and creative thinking skills when we learn through role play and project based learning.

At our school SNIS, which is one of the best boarding schools in Bangalore, it is evident that joining clubs can develop new skills such as public speaking, leadership and many more. I have been in the Yoga club for 2 years which has made me more calm, flexible and has boosted my immune system. Junior MUN (Model United Nations) is also a great choice to learn to speak clearly, present ideas, and express opinions in front of others. This builds confidence and has helped me become a strong communicator.

We also celebrate festivals and get to know about other religions and their way of expressing themselves. Like for holi, we get colours from home and play at school.

In conclusion, I am proud to be part of SNIS, which is one of  the best international schools in India. The future of the world is in my classroom today and I am proud to say that SNIS has made me really knowledgeable and has unlocked our true skills. Our teachers inspire us to show our true meaning.

I joined SNIS, which is the top international school in India, in PYP 2 and I explored a lot. Everyone is kind and my teachers have shown me the best way to learn. They have helped me turn my curiosity into discovery by making the learning meaningful and fun.
