31 Oct My Experience in the Election Process in SNIS
My name is Vrinda and I am going to share my wonderful experience in the election process in SNIS, one of the best IB Schools in Bangalore. The fright and excitement in me was terrific. It was a magnificent opportunity for me to show who I am and what I can do with my talents.
Firstly, it all started when we had interviews to pass. Around five people went for the interview and only two could pass it! We all were waiting for the results. I wanted to be the Sequoia vice captain. One of my questions was “Who would I select for an art competition; a person who is good at arts or a person who is bad at arts?” I answered, “I would have selected both if possible or selected the one who is bad at arts since my main goal was to give each one a chance and the person who is good at arts could have already got a chance. When it comes to winning, I would have selected myself in case someone doesn’t want to participate since I am good at arts.
Soon it was the day for the elections. The same evening , results were announced. I was really nervous but I was selected! My opponent was Myra. She is really kind and friendly. We even gave speeches. We made marvelous and stunning posters. We both were friendly and would have been the foremost leaders.
People supported me a lot and it was my true dream to become a captain and be an amazing leader. I had been learning from the previous captains and working hard. Now I was the Sequoia vice captain for the year 2025-26. I was elected! I was really proud of myself. All the captains now had to do a march past which was really cool.
In conclusion, to all the future captains, being a captain is not only about leadership, it is about being a mentor and motivating others.
